BJL Group Limited

How can you stay integrated in today's un-integrated world of marketing? What can you do to navigate through all the noise, when even toasters can Tweet? We believe in the power of a Rally Cry. Because when you stand for something, you can take on anything.

Our job is to help brands grow, thrive and win. Empowering brand owners identify why they exist, unifying their marketing strategies, and helping to achieve their commercial goals.

It all starts by identifying the Brand Enemy - the one factor, that, if overcome, will have the greatest impact on a brand's success. Next comes the brand's Rally Cry - a rousing and simple articulation of how the brand can tackle its 'enemy'.

For the brands we work with, again and again, defining the Rally Cry inspires clear and purposeful ways to articulate a brand's story. It steers the way it speaks and behaves. And inspires a powerful and meaningful way of thinking about the brand experience.

The Rally Cry also provides a filter to focus effort on the things that will have the most impact for the brand and business. And better brands mean more profitable businesses.

With over 25 years' experience in marketing & communications, Jackie has worked on a global, national and local basis with brands big and smaller, both as an agency partner and as a client herself. With an intriguing mix of B2B, high tech, travel, leisure and retail sectors, she’s been a key driver in many strategic marketing initiatives: part of the team that saw Sage evolve from an entrepreneurial start up into a UK success story and multinational IT giant; a lobbying force behind British Airways launching a low cost service to compete head-on with the low cost airlines; creating the brand experiences for many of the Millennium landmark visitor attractions; and working with sophisticated digital retail brands like Asda to drive online shopping.

Tony Evans

Tony Evans

Head of Planning

Tony has spent the last 20+ years working in a variety of research agencies, client organisations and communications agencies. From News International to Air Miles, from Millward Brown to NOP and from TBWA to BJL via Ogilvy and Cheil. He joined BJL in 2015 to lead the Planning function.

Tony has worked on campaigns for many brands and services in a diverse range of sectors. At TBWA he worked on the Sun’s ‘We love it' campaign and on John Smith’s Peter Kay campaign – two pieces of work that really got the country talking. At Ogilvy, his focus was on Unilever brands - specifically the global brand planning for Comfort fabric softener, where he helped the 'Clothworld' campaign become truly global. More recently he led the team that developed the ‘wearedavidbailey’ campaign to support Samsung's NX cameras which won many awards, including Cannes Gold.

Tony’s real passion is to develop brand promises that seamlessly translate into real service and experience realities for customers. This is what he hopes to help develop more of at BJL.
